KILBURNFLYER
A now familiar 2nd half capitulation when Spurs lost heavily to Man Utd yesterday. We deserved to get beat as Utd were the better team but I was still really irritated by the Ronaldo penalty which was won by cheating. He does this sort of thing so often and so well that the case for video playback for such important decisions is deafening. This was not a penalty and Ronaldo should have been in the book for "simulation". Utd would still have had a penalty earlier for a clumsy challenge on Larsson but so would we have for Gary Neville's rugby tackle on Chimbonda. Video replay would greatly reduce the diving and make the game better. A few minutes delay for (usually) the right decision is a better situation than leaving referees to get moaned at all game by disgruntled players so that they eventually even things up with another bad decision later in the game.

That said, even video replay's do not always lead to the right decision - Jonny Wilkinson's try was called good but his foot was clearly in touch before he got the ball down. Still, after 3 and a bit years of injury I am glad the 4th official got this wrong so that it did not take that additional shine off of Wilkinson's his fairytale return.

Good Saturday for England but another shit day for Spurs.
