KILBURNFLYER

Priest Fest at Wembley was everything it promised to be. Three great bands on one night is always a treat but for me Megadeth stole the show. They were superb - great set list and a no nonsense "lets get on with it" attitude - Symphony of Destruction and Peace Sells were the highlights. Priest were, however, also very good and it is to their credit that they were confident enough to book such great support. The new material sounded good but classics like Sinner and Metal Gods were stand outs. Didn't see much of Testament - last two songs because a mate took forever to get to the gig - thanks to TfL shit policy of having planned engineering works on the Jubliee line on tghe night when 10,000 are heading to the Arean is just fucking insane. Testament next month at the O2 Academy Islington will make up for this.

Priest set-list (ripped from Dave Ling): ‘Prophecy’, ‘Metal Gods’, ‘Eat Me Alive’, ‘Between The Hammer And The Anvil’, ‘Devil’s Child’, ‘Breaking The Law’, ‘Hell Patrol’, ‘Death’, ‘Dissident Aggressor’, ‘Angel’, ‘The Hellion’/‘Electric Eye’, ‘Rock Hard, Ride Free’, ‘Sinner’, ‘Painkiller’, ‘Hell bent For Leather’, ‘The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)’ ‘You Got Another Thing Coming’.
