KILBURNFLYER

It is not often you get to see a proper legend perform a gig solely comprised of some of their very best material but last night Iggy and the Stooges playing Raw Power at Hammersmith definitely falls into that category. Apart from the whole of Raw Power (Search and Destroy, Gimme Danger, Your pretty face is going to hell, Penetration, Raw power, I need somebody, Shake appeal and Death Trip) we got brilliant versions of Open up and Bleed, Cock in my Pocket, Funhouse and I Wanna be your Dog. Iggy was his usual ebullient self - his first of about ten stage dives coming halfway through the first song - getting at least 50 people on the stage after about 20 minutes. A great band performance and all round a brilliant evening - woo hoo
