KILBURNFLYER

A bit of a barren patch for gigs was ended last night with the Black Crowes at Brixton. Have seen them many times over the years but this was the best I have seen them for ages. Lots of stuff from the first two albums which pleased me no end. Sound was a bit muddy but the enthusiasm with which they played more than made up for this. A very good night indeed.

Black Crowes were good value - almost 3 hours but dodgy song selection and Brixton Academy is such a shit venue at times. Sound was terrible - so quiet and muffled mix they sounded like they were playing next door. Had to get right down the front to hear in any clarity but was overall a decent gig but not a classic by any stretch.
